Of Socks and Men

Laundry, duck hunting/firefighting absent husband, three little girls and no dogs in sight Slightly neurotic and completely at my witts end--- wife, mother, dreamer lost in her 30-somethings

My Photo
Name:
Location: Paradise

I'm a 35-year-old mother of three who has a million dreams to dream -- and three children to carry out the ones she doesn't get around to. My husband is a firefighter and an obsessed duck hunter, so I'm pretty much a single mother, trying to juggle my life around duck season and fire season.

Lost and Found?

I would rather have loved and lost
than to have lost my mind

trying to hold on to something I can't have.

So true...very, very true. Even though we divorced, I wouldn't trade my years together with my ex. Most of them were very good.

is your husband involved in any of the wild fires?

I keep forgetting to ask and I think you mentioned that in one of your posts.
I started to go back through them last night and my internet provider went down

pamela-- I wasn't really expecting you to share. I just thought I'd tease you-- too bad inflection doesn't translate.
I need a picture too.

sara-- it's kind of a short one, huh? What more can be said? Except-- hello there. It's good to see you.

LOVED your column on Saturday. SO THERE! :) And I am so looking forward to fall and the rain I can barely stand myself. I LOVE the fall. LOVE it. And the thought of needing to wear closed toe shoes makes me all excited. That reminds me, I need some new closed toe shoes.
