Of Socks and Men

Laundry, duck hunting/firefighting absent husband, three little girls and no dogs in sight Slightly neurotic and completely at my witts end--- wife, mother, dreamer lost in her 30-somethings

I'm a 35-year-old mother of three who has a million dreams to dream -- and three children to carry out the ones she doesn't get around to. My husband is a firefighter and an obsessed duck hunter, so I'm pretty much a single mother, trying to juggle my life around duck season and fire season.

I'm a pink lady now

The beige parchment do was making me feel monochromatic, and so I looked for something new. More color. More sparkle. More youthful. But when I changed my clothes and looked at the new self of me-- up, down, side to side-- I was lost in translation-- or was I found?

OK I am truly getting sick writing this post. It is clear I only had three hours of sleep last night because it was the first day in a millenium I had no place to go the next morning. The gist is I screwed around with my template because I was bored, and now I am a pick lady. Do I fit this category? I'm not sure. I mean I like frilly, happy saucy blogs, but am I saucy or am I more like parchment paper? How would you describe parchment paper-- old, refined, expensive and monochromatic? Not sure I like this new do. Not sure I like this post. Oh well, let me know what you think of my blog's new outfit.

I like the pink. I was parchment too before I changed to blue. I spent way to much time on doing the transition too. Get some sleep, the pink is cute!

babaloo-- I like your template. It is very peaceful. I think I need to keep shoping until I find the one that fits right. Maybe I'll sign up for the template of the month club.

I'm a huge fan of all things pink since the birth of my daughter. I do think that the parchment went really well with the title. I definitely think parchment when thinking about socks and men. :)

Change is inevitable.

But momma-- I agree. Pink is happy. I think I'll stick with this one for a couple of days because I really need some color in my life-- the parchment was making me nuts--and then I'll go back

bonnie you are not parchment paper or frilly you are a energized, powerful, sweet, intuitive soul. Now good luck finding that template. I have news for you the template doesn't have to reflect you. I like my template and apparantly so do alot of other folks. I never analyzed it in terms of me and my personality. It is strange that I didn't as I analyze everything else in life. Anyway I like your new template but since I met you with the other one I like that better because that one has your name all over it and not because of the parchment. Just because it is the one you started with. Have I confused you yet? Either way whatever you choose will be fine because trust me it won't impact on your life. I learned that some decisions impact and others do not so there is no pt in making myself crazy for the ones that won't impact on my life. I do anyway don't worry. I will stop here!

useless man-- you are so funny. I will have to write you for advice someday. If you aare single, I'll bet you never lack for a date with your funny sense of humor.
YOu picked a crappy day to visit this blog. Why couldn't you come on a funny day? I'm kind of blah because I surfed the Net all night-- which BTW I NEVER do (no kidding). I was over at you site reading away and cracking up. Well, thanks for visiting. I hope you return.

social worker-- no a template will not impact my life, but it will affect the happiness I feel when i look at my blog. What I need to do is learn how to play with these template so I can put my own stamp on it-- then it won't matter. It will be mine.
I can't believe I've wasted so much time talking about templates today. Don't I have kids to feed or soemthing?

True of course you should like it I wasn't making light of it. Sorry if you felt that way. Was just making the pt of the decision can't be a wrong one. Yeah you need someone who knows how to customize there aren't that many templates to choose from. Have fun working on it.

Kasamba-- yes, the pink does fit in with my little fairies. I love pink too, but I'm not sure it fits the title. Hmm? I've got to get computer literate.

nicole-- no kidding I just want a little color. Maybe i'll go back to the parchmetn after I know how to do stuff to it because I do feel like I cam in candy land.

social worker--no offense taken. I know what you meant.

I am still in awe that I have talked about this topic so long. It's kind of funny.

I agree with Social Worker. I know you as parchment, so this sudden bubble gum/cotton candy business just seems so off!

Well, I am not computer literate either. But since i have had my blog I have changed it's templete 3 or 4 times. It's great fun. I have played around with my html's and read blogger help and gotten blogger elbow from spending so much time on the computer! :)

So, anyway, play around with it. The good thing is that if you totally screw it up you can just purge the whole templete and start over. I have done that 2x I think. :)

I like the pink, I like the parchement. I like em all.

I like the pink. It's a fun change. I got very tired of the polka pots that I originally picked. Denise at Moodswing Creations helped put up the my template. She has some good ones.
